Born with a Silver Spoon:

Drew Barrymore was born on February 22, 1975 to a famous Hollywood family. Her grandfather John Barrymore, star of the 20s and 30s died in 1942. Her grandmother, Dolores Costello was a silent movie star. Her mom is Actress Ildiko Jad and her dad is John Barrymore, Jr., known as actor John Drew.

Phone Home:

Drew's first acting gig was at 11 months in a TV commercial. She appeared in two movies before her big break in the 1982 blockbuster hit E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial.
Child Star Woes: Like many Hollywood Child Stars, Drew had her problems. As she revealed in her book Little Girl Lost, she started drinking at age 9, smoking pot at 10 and snorting cocaine at 12.


Coming Clean:

Drew admits that she loved cocaine and was known as Hollywood's youngest alcoholic. She entered rehab at 13 and says she has not touched drugs for 12 years.
Lots of Movies: Drew Barrymore has appeared in more than 30 movies. Some of her better ones are Never Been Kissed (1999), Boys on the Side (1995), The Wedding Singer (1998) and
Boys on the Side: She's been married twice. In 1994 she married bar owner Jeremy Thomas. They divorced after 11 months. She then married Actor Tom Green and divorced him in 2001.


Coming Out:

Drew's relationships with men have been public, but her bisexuality was kept hidden for some time. Finally in 2003 Barrymore admitted she is bisexual.



Drew Barrymore more loves the Ladies:

Drew says she's had numerous affairs with women and will continue to do so. "Do I like women sexually? Yes, I do. Totally," she admits. US magazine reported in 2007 Jane Pratt, the former editor of Jane magazine says she and Drew Barrymore had sex. Although she didn't elaborate or say when this happened, Drew Barrymore was on the cover of Jane in 1997.



Women are Beautiful:

Drew says, "I think a woman and a woman together are beautiful, just as a man and a woman together are beautiful."
